Local Tourism

Nevada County has a great deal to offer in the way of tourism.  We have beautiful historical state parks, great hiking, mountain biking, shopping, performing arts, farmers markets, seasonal street fairs, an annual Celtic Fair,  the annual Draft Horse Classic, art galleries and much more.

If you are wondering where to vacation next, consider spending some time in the foothills of Nevada County, at the heart of the gold rush.   The Nevada County Fairgrounds as well as The Chamber of Commerce websites for Nevada City and Grass Valley both, usually have calanders of events for a variety of things, that might be happening during your stay.  While you are here, go for a great hike at one of our state parks, drop in for a massage here at Persephone's Place, and then have a nice dinner in town.  Feel free to call ahead and book your appointment at the phone number provided above.  I see several clients who drop in from out of town as they are passing through.  I've had a few of those clients tell me that they have been all over the world and havn't yet had a massage as good as the massages they get here at Persephone's Place.  I look forward to serving you.
