Welcome to Persephone's Pages These pages are dedicated to the lore, artwork, history, poetry and other inspirations pertaining specifically to this mythical Goddess. Read, browse, ponder and enjoy! The painting which you see presented on each page of this website is a Pre-Raphaelite painting by Dante Gabriel Rossetti titled: "Proserpina" ( her Roman name ) Here she is depicted with her symbol the Pomegranate and a stream of ivy, one of her sacred plants climbing down the backdrop behind her.
