One Can hardly have a website dedicated to the underworld without addressing the very uncomfortable issue of occult crime and ritual abuse. Here I hope to provide some accurate information and resources for anyone interested in researching this subject. All newcomers to the occult path should become as educated as possible for their own safety and the safety of others, if these spiritual disciplines are something you choose to pursue seriously. Here you will find both accurate facts and some clarity on some of these issues which may not be accurately represented to the general public at large. For example the student should make note that not all references to the "left hand path" indicate actual evil or criminal practices. Distinctions must be learned and made and sometimes the line is very thin between them in some cases.

Please note: It is very difficult to find books about ritual and cult abuse which are not saturated with bible thumping fundamentalist Christian Bias. I have tried to list books that are as free from this as possible and that offer good grounded factual information without any religious hype. With some sources however especially regarding Monarch Programming you may simply have to weed through some of that with patience.
"Lords of Chaos" by Michael Moynihan and Didrik Soderlind: (The Bloody Rise of the Satanic Metal Underground.) : This is a true story about a heavy metal underground movement in Sweden, describing their crimes and philosophies.
"Unholy Alliance" by Peter Levenda: A book about occult / Nazi Germany
"The Spear of Destiny" by Trevor Ravenscroft: This book deals more about Nazi Germany with specific emphasis on some of the Christian, Norse and Grail legends which they drew upon to base their philosophy from. It is a slightly controversial book among skeptics. Sequel books by the same author in this series include: "The Cup of Destiny" (about the Holy Grail and Percival legends) and "The Mark of the Beast" (a more extensive study of the Spear of Destiny.)
"At the Heart of Darkness" A very good book about the general differences between Wicca and Satanism, and white and black magic in general. Gives a history of the movements and personalities in both Europe and America.
"The Law Enforcements Guide to Wicca" by Kerr Cuchulain: An excellent little book written by a police officer in Canada who is also a practicing Wiccan.
"The Serpent and the Rainbow" by Wade Davis: (A movie was based on this book with the same title and can be found in your local video stores) This is a true story about a medical doctor (the author of the book) who traveled to Haiti in order to research the African Voudoun Zombie drug (a neuro-toxin) used in vodoun magic among the darker ilks which induces a coma state hardly discernable from death in the victims. He intended to research this topic for the purpose of furthering scientific knowledge in the medical community about anesthesia. His search led him into some intriguing experiences with regards to the African secret society underground. The companion book in this series "Passage of Darkness" (The Ethnobiology Of The Hiatian Zombie deals with the pharmacology of the drug and also with the history of the Haitian slave trade and some of the darker aspects of the Haitian secret society politics.
